Namaste, I am Charu Thukral, a yoga teacher and wellness guide with a background in development sector consulting. My journey with yoga began alongside my corporate career and gradually became central to my life, leading me to dedicate myself fully to the study and practice of yoga.

Over the years, I have trained with senior teachers across India, learning from those who have spent decades exploring different dimensions of yoga. My practice is deeply influenced by the Iyengar method, shaped through sustained study with teachers such as Kobad Variava and Amina Bharat Sarkar, and further enriched through workshops with Rajiv Chanchani and Eyal Shiffroni.

I have taught yoga for the past six years, both independently and at studios in Mumbai, and have guided students in Bengaluru, Guwahati, Gurgaon, Delhi, and Mumbai, as well as internationally in the USA and Australia.

My focus is on helping students build a strong foundation so yoga becomes a sustainable daily practice rather than a long-term dependency on a teacher.

Qualifications & Certifications
• International Yoga Teacher Training Course (IYTTC) — Yoga Alliance International
• Yoga Instructor Certification Level II — Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India
• Yoga Anatomy & Physiology Certification — In depth study of the physical body

Professional Experience
• Taught at Yoga Hut, Mumbai (now Yog Kutir) — training teachers and leading daily sessions
• Conducted yoga sessions at India’s Salsa Dance Academy, Gurgaon
• Led workshops at Garden Lovers Café and other wellness/nature centric spaces in Gurgaon
• Six years of teaching experience across India and abroad (USA, Australia)
